Hi there! My name is Dennise. I’m a senior majoring in Sociology and minoring in Gender Studies at Skidmore College.

I’m a proud Bronx native and a first-gen student. Working as a research assistant in the Gender Studies and Sociology departments has made me passionate about doing sociology research related to race, class, and gender.

My degree in Sociology has equipped me with the tools to approach challenges thoughtfully. Learning about the extent of knowledge that sociology covers has inspired me to do research and engage in non-profit and/or policy work in education and poverty. I’m working towards earning my PhD in Sociology where I’m determined to uncover knowledge that contributes to building a better society.
